Try replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECTS). Its alow cost part, easily replaced, original one is resin tipped andprone to cracking, creating engine running problems while the replacement is brass. The two-wireconnectormay be corroded and require replacement. The single wire temperature sensor is for the dash gauge and doesn't need replacement. Both, I believe are below the throttle body. This cooant sensor is most likely the cause of the engine starting andidling problems.
