Transmission 6t70
 

Just found and internet post on gm extending the warranty on the 6t70 tranny to 10 years and 120k miles due to design problems. It is on the GM forum. I was going for an extended warranty today at $1650 just for the known problems with the tranny. Has anyone had success with coverage?

Mine was rebuilt under the 5 yr 100K powertrain warranty; cost = 0.

Don't understand what you mean about "going for an extended warranty". Do you mean going out and purchasing one or did your 6T70 fail after 100K but before 120K and you have an extended warranty that wouldn't have covered it before so you paid out of pocket and now want the extended warranty co to pay...?
