timing help

How do you set the timing on a 99 saturn dohc

Why are you trying to set the timing? I think you have other problems. The timing is not manually adjustable like it used to be on distributor type engines.

Ok, you mean the cam timing.I thought you meant ignition timing to diminish a spark knock or other engine noises. If you are reinstalling the original chain, gears, guides and tensioner, the Haynes manual provides adequate instruction. If it is a new set,it should come with manufacturer specific instructions, or check the Richpin series on You Tube. I just checked and there is no Richpin video on timing chain installation
