I am trying to locate the TACH signal wire on 1994 SW1. I am hooking up the remote start and that is the only thing i am having a problem with.

White wire at ignition module or at the instrument cluster electrical connector. http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...onnectorfaces/ 91-94ipcluster.html |
OK thanks for the info i will take a look later and see if i can find that. Someone else was telling me that it could also be the white wire going to the coil packs, not sure if this is right also. Edited by: 1994sw1 |
The coil packs sit on top the the ignition module. The electrical connector actually plugs into the ignition module, not the coil packs. The only thing "connected" to the coil packs are the spark plug wires. Edited by: Low Saturn

OK i see that now and thanks for the help.

Also a lot of remote start systems have a tachless option where it monitors the car voltage to determine that the vehicle has started.
Thats how I have my 2001 Suburban, 2002 Tahoeand my 1995 SL2 set. |
I have all of my wires hooked up and the remote start is not working, I have checked and double checked all my wires but nothing. Any ideas or suggestions?

What brand remote start?

It is ProStart, I think my problem now is the dome light wires. Still messing with them.
