Hi all-

I have a 1998 SW2 73K and have been trying to quite the front suspension for a month. The car makes a bump/knock noise when the suspension is at the top of it's stroke. It lightly rattles when you go over bumps. The shop replaced both upper strut mount/bushings. Noise got worse. The shop replaced one of the struts. Noise went away for a weekthencame back. I noticed, when the car is bounced with the hood up, you can feel a knock at the top of the right strut tower. Should I have the other strut replaced. The shop said it wasnt leaking. Help!

S cars is bad for having the lower control arms bolt being loose. Check and see if those nuts and bolt are tight.

Thanks

Ill have the nut(s) checked out. Sometimes the noise sounds like it comes from the bottom of the suspension area. Its hard to pinpoint.
