Hello all, I am having a problem. I have a 97 saturn sc2 and there is a sound coming from the right front tire area of my car. The sound sounds like when you spin a wrechet wrench. I was thinking it might be the brake pad indicator but I thought that sounded like a scratching sound. It's only coming from that area. Can anyone help. I did just get my serpitine belt changed.

look for loose tools, and check your axles to do that put it in reverse and lock the steering wheel, and you should hear the noise if it is an axle.

If it does it primarily when you are turning I'd check the rubber boots covering the CV joints and see ifthey have been compromised. If so, it sounds like a new joint(s) are in order. The clicking sound would be the ***** in the wornout races. Edited by: MINICooperS
