I just replced both back up light bulbs on my 1995 sc2 because they did not work (I dont think they ever worked), at the bulb housing i am getting 12 volts in each but when I put in a bulb, it did not light up and the other housing reads 0 volts, when i removed the light bulb thehousing with thevolt meter reads 6 volts, I tried several sets of bulbs and they never lit up. It has a manual transmissionand if anyone has any suggestions it would be helpful. |
if you own a saturn.. i feel sad for you guys. GET A NEW f**kING CAR! THEYRE JUNK

the light bulb sockets may just have a loose connection, I had the same problem with mine . I cleaned out the sockets and they worked fine after that

i know on my manual '92 SC there is a back up switch up on the engine that I had to replace. It's about $13.00 compared to the $150 a mechanic wanted to fix my back up light problem. It's discussed on a few other things here and in the repair books.. I believe autozone's web pages...(look up the part and then "identify part location") will show you where it is... took 5 minutes to fix!!! |
