saturn sw2 manual engine removeal

I am just wondering if someone can tell me if there anything different about removing the engine from a manual or automatic . I have replaced the same engine in a different care before but it was an automatic now I need to remove the engine out of a manual is there any added steps or is it the same ?

In the L series car you pull the engine and transmission together and seperate on the ground. The clutch assembly adds several inches to the length of the engine and on most front wheel drive cars there isn't enough room to seperate them in the chassis.

it isn't a l series it is a sw2 I have did motor swaps in on a l300 and did not pull the transmission out only the engine

L300s were all automatic cars. Look at your S series car and see if you have enough room to pull the engine 4-6" away from the transmission before lifting it up and out.

Traditionally, you drop the cradle on an S car, drop the engine and tranny as a single unit, and separate afterwards. No need to make it more difficult than it has to be.
