I have 1992 Saturn SL-2. Car runs and drive fine. B Ut when I try to reverse, it has hard time to engage. It takes about 5 second to engage it. When it is engage it is really harsh. Car, shakes, make a loud noise and engage it. If I touch the gas pedal, it engage quickly but harsher. And most of the time, car stalls.


Someone told me that it may be the clutch in tranny or valve body. Anyone had similar problems or any idea.

automatic or manuel? If automatic the bolt that holds the reverse planetary needs to be tightened. I will send you a picture if you want

i will get them to you asap. You will need access to a 1/2 in. drive air impact, a set of jack stands, a good set of sockets, a floor jack and a cheap 15/16 1/2 in drive deep socket that needs to be ground down
