I have a 93 SC2 with 100,00 miles. It use to run great, then engine light on and bad gas mileage. Spent $700 to mechanic who changed a # of things, EGR, EGR relay, temp sendors, etc........brought it to another mechanic who put it back on computer which the codes indicate the cars PCM is not working properly, sending wrong signals to car. Got another PCM from junkyard, plugged it in, car runs but not properly, doesn't shift right. Guy told me to reprogram touch negative to positive battery terminal(while still connected) to reprogram computer. Didn't really work. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ottjoe is right the PCM should reprogram after couple of open road drives.I hope theguy that told you to short the battery terminals together, told you to disconnect the battery first. When you disconnect the battery, the PCM will lose it memory ina couple of minutes. With the battery disconnected, touching the terminals together just speeds up the process. If you want to reset your PCM without disconnecting the battery, pull the "PCM B" fuse (powertrain control module memory)for a couple of minutes.
