Oil light
Back in early January i changed the oil in my saturn and after the change had been done i started up the car and the "change oil soon" light lit up on the dash. It remained on for about 1-2mins before it finally went off. Ive changed my oil many times before and ive never seen this light come on at all. I did the same process as i have been doing since i got the car. I know its probably nothing serious at all, but its pretty annoying knowing that i just changed the oil and its still telling me to change oil soon. The light still comes on to this day

It may be just a coincidence, but it's possible the oil sending unit is going bad or the connector to it needs cleaning. Does your car have a message center that keeps showing up and if so, did you do a reset of it? I'm not sure, but on my Equinox and the Caliber I had, you had to turn the key on, press the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds, turn the key off, and then start it up and be on your way. No more message.

Sounds like the light was not reset during/after the oil change ...

If you still have your owners manual, the procedure should be in there.

None of the S series had an oil change light, if its just an oil symbol with no letters its the Oil pressure low light
|
i can assure you there is a "change oil soon" light in the bottom right of my dash right below the temperature gauge
|
my sc2 has this light as well .mine is a 2002.you just need to reset the light .
|
my wife's SL1 has it as well... there should be a button in the underhood fuse box to reset the light...
|
If my 94 has one, I have never seen it.
