Default My 1999 Saturn Wagon

My trusty old 1999 Saturn wagon (228,000 miles) recently failed CT Emmissions test. It still runs great. 33-35 miles per gallon. The Diagnostic Trouble codes listed were the two following:
a.) P0702 Transmission control System Electrical
b.) P0410 Secondary Air Injection System

Anyone out there have any experience or advice on solving these two problems.

Thanks,
Jim S.

Guessing the one-way check valves are shot and are letting water back into the smog pump.

Poor TCM electrical connection
Inop TCM

Hello, Thank you for your imput. I believe that I have solved the trouble code P0410 problem thanks to a you tube instructional video (link below).
I am NOT a mechanic so I don't know what Poor TCM Electrical connection means. INOP TCM innoperable???
My focus now is the P0702 code. My Chilton's Saturn repair manual identifies this code as:
P0702 Tansaxle Actuator Fault Description: Low Voltage
Should I replace Fuses? There appear to be 3 transmission fuses in the fuse box under the hood.

Thanks again,
Jim S.

The TCM refers to your transmission control module. I'd try removing the wire harness plug and giving it a thorough cleaning and reconnecting it. Make sure to plug and unplug it several times. This will also help to clear any corrosion off the connector. Get a can of electrical contact cleaner from your local auto parts store. Pull those fuses and give them a look. Stranger things have happened.

Dang Ruby, some times you come off smarter than the average bear. That sounds like an excellent idea.
