How can I determine if the top motor mount is bad on my 1997 Saturn SL? It has 142,000miles on the original motor mount.

 

I can guarantee it need to be replaced, they usually last 50,000 to 75,000 miles. You can make sure by putting a jack under the oil pan and jack the engine up a little. if the ruber is cracked or coming apart it needs to be replaced.
