New to forum with a troubled L300. It is my wife''''s car and she stopped to pick up our youngest from daycare last night and it had to be jump started when she left. She got home explained to me so I put a charger on the battery. My charger signals that battery is charged, but when the key is turned all the lights and radio go out and no attempt to turn over not even a click. I don''''t really want it to end up at the dealership but I think it might. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

First thing I would do, is to replace the heavy battery cables (both of them). When the battery leaks acid, it wicks up underneath the insulation and corrodes the insides of the cables to where the cable cannot carry the proper voltage and current to start your car ...

Well it sounds like the battery is dead and no matter how long you put the volts you put to it .... it doesn''''t have the amps to do anything. Have the battery tested by someone that knows how to "load test" a battery.Edited by: sw2cam
