Interior condensation, steam.

My 99 SL is getting a lot of interior condensation in the area of the heater blower. It isn't coolant. I also noticed that the temperature gauge barely moves, even after driving for a while. Both radiator hoses become hot and engine seems excessively hot compared to normal when driven.

Thanks

Sounds like possibly more than one problem running around in your car ----

One possibility is a plugged drain from the interior heater/cooler ductwork.

The radiator fan may not be operating -- check wiring and fuses first. Also check the fan itself that it turns freely, and not busted loose from the motor shaft. Use a couple of test wires, and run power directly from the battery to the fan to make sure it works.

Also a possibility that the water temperature sensor is defective. Get somebody to disconnect the sensor, and measure the resistance of the device. If it reads zero (shorted) or infinite (open), replace the sensor. Good idea to replace the sensor connector at the same time -- total cost here about $40usd for parts
