I don't know, the 25k interval sounds spot on with transmissions built and used in the twentieth century... The AX4S that was in my Taurus called for a 30k interval, though I never did it, due to somebody saying that if it was overdue, the gunk inside was likely keeping it together... I chose to ignore the trans fluid(making sure it was topped off though) because I paid less for the entire car than a replacement trans would cost in the event of a failure(and those were notoriously weak trans at an expected life of 150-180k, period, all optimism considered)

The L series my wife briefly drove had the 4T40(or maybe the 4T45), and with 262k on the odo, the trans worked fine... No clue on service records though...

i have a 2005 saturn vue... the 2005 with the 2.2 has the 4t45e thats specific to only the 2005 in case anyone needs to know this info.

I believe it was an option that year but indeed it was offered and prob only purchased by those expecting to do towing.

i have had numerous people tell me that the transmission 4t45e that i have was specific to 2005 only.... something about the valve body.
