Ignition SignalWiper loose

I have read the many posts regarding loose ignition and turn signal/wiper switch on column being the two screws that have to be removed with a chisel. In my case it is the shaft or tube that is moving. The ignition assembly is tight to the shaft or tube. When I hold that shaft or tube it is stationary. What is actually loose causing this problem? Thanks

I don't know whats loose in you car. I can't take it apart and see. Maybe thats something you should do or have someone that knows what they are doing look at it for you.

Sorry for the double post. Just registered and I find it confusing. Where are the fasteners located which keep the steering tube stationary?

Check with your local Saturn-friendly GM dealership. There may be a safety bulletin out on the steering that would apply to your vehicle.
