Ignition Lock

I bought my 2002 Saturn LS2 from a man in Feburary. With it, he gave me 2 keys. One was worn out and when you would try to turn the ignition, the ignition would lock and wouldn't turn. The other was good I never had problems. Now that key is worn out and if you turn the car all the way off, the ignition won't turn when you try to turn it back on. My husband went out to try to fix it today and took the steering wheel apart to fix it but even with it like that, it won't start because the security system shuts the fuel off because the key isn't turned. We don't know what to do.

Have a couple new keys "cut" by the dealer to start with. Do not go to PetesParts&Plumbing and have a key ground to match your old key. Then if that does not work you'll already have two new keys when the dealer puts together a new tumbler set via your VIN. From the sounds of it your husband will be able to do the swap.

Keys....................the obvious place to start to my way of thinking. I just don't think changing the blinker fluid will be of any help
