Help, Complete Horn Replacement

I need to do a full overhaul to get my horn working. I need to replace everything including running new wires. I want it to be working like original. I will be getting new buttons from a yard but that's a simple part. So will be replacing the actual horn and running wire to the steering wheel, that is easy work. My question is basically this, what will I be getting into when I get inside the steering wheel? How exactly is the horn wired in the steering wheel from under the dash to the actual buttons? I have a 1994 Saturn SL. I will also note there is a short somewhere , it keeps blowing the fuse. (Yes, I know to never "upgrade" the fuse, and to only use identical) Will I need to solder? Will I need other parts? I need to know every single piece related to the horn in the steering wheel and column so I just have to open up everything one time and be fully prepared.

The short is most likely in the steering wheel. I'd just disconnect the battery(airbag), get a steering wheel puller and pull the wheel. I don't know if you'll need a lock plate remover tool also, as I've never pulled a steering wheel from a Saturn. If so, you can get a cheap one at your local auto parts store. Once you get the wheel off, look for a chaffed or bare wire going to ground in the steering column. Saturns have some pitiful horns, so if you're going to replace it, why not yank some Cadillac horns at the scrap yard. We all know how loud those things are! I put Cadillac horns on my first SC and it was funny to see people jump when I honked the horn at them.

I am all for an upgrade for the horn, to be honest, I have never heard any horn of a Saturn, especially not this one. If the horns do suck then I will gladly get good ones. When I said I want it to be original, I only mean for inside the car. I do not want a button on the dash for a horn or anything like that. I want the horn to function like stock. Under the hood is all open for custom parts.
