Heating/cooling issues

1999 Saturn SL1 (130k miles)

3 issues with the heating and cooling system

First, ever since I had to replace my serpentine belt my car overheats when in traffic. Not convinced it is a coincidence. Issue is gone now that the weather is colder.

2nd, my heater seems to take ages to heat up and just barely gets hot.

3rd (and this has been an issue since I bought the car). The air flow from the heating and cooling system is very low (barely can defrost windows). When the fan is on any setting except the highest you can't even hear anything never mind feel flow.

HELP PLEASE!

Not sure what to say about the overheating. As for the heater i had the same problem... Replace your thermostat, engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) and flush the system. If you still have a problem your heater core is probably bad. The poor airflow sounds like a bad blower motor. Anyway this should get you started until one of the other members chimes in with suggestions.
