gas pedal issue
 

Not sure if it is coincidence or if it has something to do with our recent weather change but it seems my gas pedal sometimes "gets stuck" and you have to press it harder then usual then i feel a little "pop" and it works like normal. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. But it makes a smooth take off tricky at times with my manual trans. Is there a fix for this?

sounds like either the throttle body needs a good cleaning and/or the throttle cable is binding somewhere.

operate the throttle from under the hood with the car running to see if you can determine whether the resistance is related to the cable or the opening and closing of the plate on the throttle body. (air cleaner ducting removal required to see throttle body plate)

So i pulled the intake piping off to gain access to the internals of the throttle body. It was clean and free from gunk and grime. I did however notice a little build up on the spring on the outside of the throttle body. So i hit it with some brake cleaner and then a little wd40. Then went inside the car, depressed the pedal and greased the cable and the hole in the fire wall where the cable goes through (with true automotive grease). Works like brand new now! If anybody else is having this issue i would definitely do these two things!

Just keep in mind that WD-40 is not a lubricant. It's a water displacement formula. You need to use some white lithium grease spray or a silicone lubricant spray there.
