Engine swap

Hello all, I'm new to the site so forgive me if I rehash an old issue. Here's my problem. I ran across a 2003 L200 in beautiful shape except for a bad engine due to timing chain. I've been looking for a good 2.2 ecotec and I may have located one but I want to be sure it will work in my car. It's a 2005 saturn 2.2 with supposedly low mileage. The differences that I can see right away is no egr port {mine has one but blocked off} and the power steering pump was electric {mine is driven off the cam}.
I think I can swap out my intake cam, but is there anything else I should look for before I purchase? I've read that certain years have a different reluctor for the crank but I'm not too familiar with this. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Money isn't easy to come by and I want to make sure that this motor will work before I spend the cash.

I have no idea whats so ever. Maybe you should talk to your local salvage yard and see if they have a Hollander interchange guide.

what the hell is a hollander?

It's a book that tells which parts will exchange from one model vehicle to another.
