cracked head/block

how bad is it to drive my 2002 saturn sl1 with the dreaded oil in the coolant (caused from either a cracked head, cracked block, or blown head gasket) the other night my car overheated and so i stopped at a gas station, let it cool down and check everything, well i had lots of oil in my coolant, my engine was very low on oil. So i filled it back up and drove home which was about 30 miles from where i was, the car still runs great. I blazed the heat the whole way and it didn't even get past the half mark on the temp guage. how bad is it if i drive my car around like that?? i would appreciate any comments.also if anybody knows the exact problem. thanks!

Anytime you run with coolant in the oil, it's a bad thing. Cause could be any of the items you mention in your thread, and until the engine is torn down guessing would be totally counterproductive. Personally, I would not run an engine with a problem like that (unless I was on the final lap of a million dollar race - and leading)

well i'm definitely not driving it. i've got the motor pretty torn down right now just need to take the efi of the side and not sure if i need to remove transmission with it or if i can just pull the motor alone. do you have any idea?? if so how hard is it to pull the whole motor and tranny?? or whatever it is.

The first question, How bad is it to drive with coolant in the oil?
Personally I am surprised you got home.
2nd question, how easy is it to get the engine out with or with out the transmission? Dunno, never tried to pull either, one or both out of a Front Wheel Drive car. And I really don't want to. Pulled enough out of rear wheel drive to swear off even trying. Although there are other members here that have, so hope some one can answer.
