clutch Install
So I put in a clutch but theres a problem.I can see that the axles spin however I dont need the clutch to change gears(except for reverse). When I hit the pedal I can see the axles stop spinning so I assume its disengaging but why dont I need to disengage to change the other gears? Also I tried jacking up my sisters saturn to see if it would do the same but I needed the clutch to pull hers out of gear so there must be something wrong with mine.Any help would be appreciated..

I don't know for sure, but would suspect that if you have both wheels off the ground, that it's normal for the axles to turn. There's no resistance. What's it do with the wheels on the ground?

Yep, I agree with Rube, and derf has a good idea for you. We are willing to help members of this forum. Doing an intro thread is a plus. Going to the USER CP and adding your first name, location, and car to your "signature" is a great idea. Members we get to know, the rest are just here to give us the third degree. Look around the forum, there must be something you have an opinion or thought on, post. Remember |
