I have a 2000 SL2 and I love it. But the blower fan is coming on (the fan selector is off and the a/c button if off) when the car if off and running the battery dead. Does anyone know what problem this might be?

 

Look in the fuse boxes for the blower fan relay, it may be stuck with welded contacts. Removing it should stop the fan as the last resort would be either to disconnect the wire connector to the fan or pull the fuse. If removing the blower relay stops the fan try substituting it with one similar, the horn relay (?) or buy the replacement.

 

How long is the fan staying on? Is it staying on long enough to kill the battery? When my 01 SC2 is hot, the fan is on even after i shut the car off. It does this to try and stop it from overheating. If it stays on all the time. Wire up a switch, and turn it on when you need to.
