It seems like I go through this sh*t all the time... dead batteries. It probably just seems that waybecause it alwayshappens at the worst time, and this time it was when I had to drive to town but my car wouldn't crank over in the negative twelve degree weather.

Cold is tough on car batteries. I'm looking to get a good reliable battery. Based on longevity, power, & cost, what would you guys say is the best car battery?Edited by: S-Turn

normally dry cell batteries last long and are better in the cold. as for power if you want a good one the optima batteries are the best, but.. they are also exspensive as s***. so find a dry cell battery for a fare price

I have a OPTIMA that I bought new in 1994 for my S-10 SS. The truck is gone but the battery lives on.
