I have a 1998 Saturn SW1 w/ 4 cyl and standard xmsn, 188k miles. My problem: (possibly several problems, maybe interelated) The car starts fine, runs great, goes for awhile, usually about 7 to 10 miles then starts losing power. Sometimes it will keep running at an idle as long as no load is on it, sometimes not. If it sits for 5 or 10 minutes, it will re-start, run for about a mile or two and then the same problem. Possibly a related problem, the dash lights intermittantly flicker, I''ve checked for loose connections, but can''t find anything. Battery is fine, checked w/ a load meter. Everything else works fine. I''ve tried gas drier, figuring it might be contaminents in the fuel, changed gas station, it still happens periodically, started about a month ago, maybe once a week, now every time you drive. I suspect a clogged fuel filter, or an intermittant fuel pump, but thought I''d check w/ someone before I drop the tank. Doesn''t appear to be outside temp related, fuel tank is half full. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Scot K.
