97 SC1 Horn and Interior lights not working
 

Hello, my girlfriend just purchased a 1997 SC1 which had a couple issues that may be linked. Right now I’ve noticed the following problems:

Horn does not work
Interior light turns on with Passenger door, but not Drivers
Interior/Dash lighting below Radio (Heat, AC, etc) does not light up.

All fuses look good, engine and passenger side, and it is a factory radio, so no odd installs. Searched the forum with no luck, hopefully someone has some advice, thanks!

bulbs, door switch?

Yeah -- bulbs and door switch for the interior lights and dash lighting.

Horn is a separate circuit. Could be the horn, or the relay, the horn button on the steering wheel or an open wire. Get some wires and test clips, and jumper directly from the battery to the horn (hold your ears). Next option would be to swap out the horn relay, but they are relatively cheap if you just want to go buy one. Might want to buy a HAYNES manual for your car too, if you're gonna work on it .......

The interior light issue turned out to be simple, the plunger was stuck, can't believe I overlooked that. Thought I'd add it to the post to help out anyone else that may have over looked the obvious
