96 SC2 Manual Driver side Window Regulator
 

I just obtained a 96 SC2. I've fixed several problems on it so far, but the 1 thing I'm having problems with is finding the Driver's Door Manual Window Regulator. Mine has teeth missing on the top & bottom of the main gear. Does anyone know the correct part number I need & exactly how do you change it out. I'm assuming the outside door skin has to come off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the part #, but you're right in assuming that the outside door skin has to come off. Just like for any other work inside the door. Strange design.

21097201 from Gmpartsdirect.co (no m) if I have spec'd the wrong part the rest of the part numbers are there but they are also discontinued.
96 seems to be an oddball year for the regulator...

You will need to scour.ebay for one. Best bet is a junkyard. I think it also fits 96 SC1 but do NOT quote me on that.
