95 saturn problem

Hi new to this site. Here is what i have 95 sl1 1.9 single overhead cam saturn. The car has 42,000 miles on it i got it from the original owner.Anyway back to the problem car runs great until it warms up then i get a code 41 and the idle starts searching like the tps is bad also car will not rev past 3500 rpms its like it hits the rev limter.Anyone have any suggestions on this.

If you are not in gear, then you WILL limit to 3500 rpm.

Your code 41 indicates an Ignition Control Error. Granted, there are not many miles on your car, but a new set of plugs and wires might just get you running smooth. Be sure you DO NOT USE platinum plugs - get the OEM types if at all possible

Thanks for the info i will try a tune up on it this weekend and see if this help's. I bought this car for my daughter to drive to school. The car has been sitting in a garage for about 3 yrs. This is my first saturn seems to be a real nice car everything on it works not bad for 500.00 dollars.

If it's been sitting that long, a radiator flush and an oil change/filter wouldn't hurt either. Might even do a transmission service on it if ya got the bucks

+1 OEM plugs and wires. Don't forget to clear code after replacing them....

Did a full service already brakes, oil and filter, trans fluid and filter, flushed the radaitor just did not do wires and plugs they look good but you never know.Talked to a saturn tec. today he said to pull the coil pack off and clean it real good.He said it is a source for a bad ground seen it before.Thank for all the help i will let you know how it goes.

if its still doing it it could also be the ects. if the resin tipped one is still in it, it can cause all sorts of weird issues you wouldn't think would be
