92 SL2 seatbelts dead
They're dead and all the way forward. Is there any way to just move them into position and leave them there? We just bought this car and I just want to make sure it's safe to drive for now. I'll dive into making them work properly later when I have time, if at all. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Maybe just a blown fuse? Check both fuse boxes. Got one under the hood and should be one on the passenger side of the console.

the car should have shipped from the factory with metal latches (anchors) which seat in the back of the tracks to allow you to safely attach the seatbelts when the motors are inoperative.
Should be buried in the glove box. |
Didn't know there were two fuse boxes, thanks. I don't have an owners manual so have to figure out which ones they are somehow. Also the anchors is good info, thanks, but there aren't any with this car. Just bought it last weekend. Thanks guys.

Most every time it's the control module. The passive restraint module located under the center console.
