2003 LW Front end Damage

Hello all. I just bought a 2003 LW200 that was in a front end collision. I was expecting to be able to remove and replace what I would call the upper radiator support. The metal that crosses the front of the motor compartment. The radiator mounts are bolted to it. And the hood latches into it to close... Anyway, I can see a couple bolts where its connected like most cars, then it appears to be tack welded into other connecting points.

Does anyone know if this needs to be "cut out to be replaced" or am I just not looking close enough?

Thanks in advance for your time.

(I can probably straighten it enough if cutting is the only other option. But would prefer to replace to keep strength integrity if possible)

Wish I could help you out, man, but I don't have a clue. I don't have a Saturn anymore. I'd like to find another one, but finances are very low right now.

Yes like 99.9% of the cars on the road. It's Welded.

I have to go along with sw2cam, like most cars that is welded. And the odds are in a front end collision, what ever it is welded to is also bent and welded to something else too.
If I had to guess buying something that has been if a front end collision is going to be pretty much of a chore to repair/replace what is bent. The next obvious question is what kind of a title did you get with it?
Because depending on the type of title obtained, repairing and then getting it licensed could be a problem along with being able to sell it to some one else.
Each state is going to have their own rules on that one so what goes on here may not relate to what you are going to have to deal with.
