Just purchased a 2000 SL1 for my son and I have a minor issue with the keyless remote system. The doors lock and unlock perfectly ... but the trunk release is hit or miss. I've checkup out the servo motor on the latch and it works perfectly ... and the keyless remote will open the trunk on rare attempts. Also had the local Saturn dealer re-program the keyless remote transmitters (at no charge ... nice guys).

This situation has all the indications of a open circuit in the trunk release servo wiring. Where is the keyless remote module (or would that be body control module) for 2000 SL1 models? Does anyone have a set of wiring diagrams for this model?

Thanks, John

Hi John,
Not sure if this will help butit's a thought.

I just purchased a 2000 SC1 and my keyless will not open the trunk at all. Upon investigating I discovered a broken wire on the latch servo. Most likely a ground. Haven't had time to fix yet, but pretty sure thats the problem.

Sure sounds like your problem is a ground issue as well.

Good luck.
Cliff
