Gotta question about my 2000 SC2...just started a few days ago when I
turned on the heat the car died. It started back up and was fine. Next
day same thing. Tonight all the lights went out and the car wont start.
Hear clicking sound from the radio...has new battery. Help!

Be sure the cables to battery are tight
Have the alternator checked
Have the battery cables checked for internal corrosion
Did your old battery leak?Edited by: sw2cam

Thanks so much for responding. Husband is having the alternator checked
today at Autozone. Battery has not been leaking but will check that and
the cables too today. Will follow up. Again, thanks.

Did the OLD BATTERY leak if so check wiring under the battery tray

husband back from AutoZone...they didnt have the equipment to check the
alternator but agreed with husband it sounded like the problem was the
alternator because the battery was fine and did not leak nor were the
cables corroded. Alternator is now installed and car is running fine.
Thanks again for your help.
