1. How do you replace the front disc pads?

2. How do you check your rear drums if they need replacing?

Thanks for any help here!Edited by: spandea

For the pads...

1. loosen lug nuts
2. jack vehicle up
3. remove tire
4. remove the two caliper bolts (those are on top)
5. remove the caliper
6. depress piston
7. remove/install new pads
8. re install the calipers
9. tighten down the caliper slide pins (bolts)
10. re install tire and tighten the lug nuts
11. lower vehicle and double check the tire

rear drums

follow the same procedure until step 4

loosen the star wheel behind the brake assembly
and then you should be able to get the drums off. i have done these several times, but i have trouble explaining them. check out a haynes or chiltons manual.

hope this helps.

Dont hold me responsible if anything happens to your car, your doing the work not me. Also you should always have the rotors checked for warping, and or cracking, and or thickness of the rotor.
