1999 sc2 rear window noise
 

Just bought an sc2 that seems pretty clean and mechanically sound. I do hear a loud noise coming from the back seat when driving. Today I had the wife drive while I sat back there trying to find the sound and we figure out it is the rear window. Further inspection with the trunk up revealed that the bottom edge of the window is no longer sealed to the car. I can recreate the noise I hear while driving by pressing gently up and down on the bottom edge of the rear window. Has anyone had any experience with a glass shop pulling out an otherwise good window and reappying the glue (or whatever it is) that keeps the window in? I'd hate to have this get worse and then lead to a crack in the glass or a leak.

Go to a glass shop and see what they tell you .... get prices and info from a couple at least. Thats a very odd thing to happen to any car.

Its somewhat unusual to have an issue like this, but it does happen occasionally. RjION has good advice - stop by two or three local automotive glass shops, explain your problem, and see what they might charge ...
