I recently got a 96 sl2 and the passanger side rear door will not open. Anyone know how to get the door covers off? Any suggestions?

take the bottom of the rear seat out and remove the inner door panel.

Wont do too much good since the sheet metal underneath doesnt have an opening much larger than a dime. The outter panel needs to come off, but unfortunatley the door has to be open to do so. You may have to do some heavy damage to the door to get it open. |
Got same problem.. I've just replaced mine with saturn Canada.. Unfortunately my door has been a heavy damage just to open.

Some corners are not worth cutting if you have a car that is in "Mint" condition and want to keep it that way. Dealers have tricks to work around these problems. If you're on a budget then I myself would put up with the butcher act. But a dremmel and a blue blade attachment could cut you a peep hole to where you need to go, maybe. |
