One day I was driving this little guy, which I had no problems with for the previous six months I had it, and it started to "chug" if you will. It would start up, and immediately stall, I had to keep the clutch pumping to keep it going. It stalled on the busiest hwy in cleveland and I had to get it towed, it was aweful. It turns over, and then sounds and feels like it start up, and as soon as i let off the clutch, it stalls. Any advice??? thanks.

Could be anything thing from EGR, ECTS, MAP, TB, to bad plugs. Put the car in neutel, start it up. Is it running on all cylinders? Pull the spark plugs. Are all of the plugs clean? Or are they fouled and gummed up? I'm not sure about a 91, but if it's got a ECM port. Go over to a Auto Zone and havethem read the failure code, it's free. It will give you somewhere to start.
