My daughter has a 95 sl2, it has started to not wanting to shift from 1st to 2nd pretty good, but it's like it gets throwed into nutural when it tries to shift into 3rd gear. The engine reves up and will not want to shift. But you can usually stop and switch that little switch on the side of the shift from either normal to performance or vice versa and it will usually start shifting again. It doesn't always do this it might do this once a week or once every two weeks. Please give me any advice here.Thank you for any help.Edited by: sw2cam

Common problem with Saturn auto transmissions. Probably needs a valvebody replacement. Irregular tranny fluid replacement, dirty fluid and heat kill these transmissions. Thats why I replace the transmission fluid/filter every 6000 to 8000 miles. I do a flush every other fluid change and I use an external tranny cooler.
