So what you guys think?

quantumzL69 04-05-2005 03:24 AM

I think somebody made a pretty bad attempt at trying to make the car look like it's sitting on a lake.

Blackbirdracing 04-05-2005 11:29 AM

Funniest thing was...

it's actually in the water!!

Everyone claims photo chop but I got my buddies GSregal in the same creek as well as my Contour SVT.

Besides how would I fake the tires being wet??

I can tell it's in the water. But you can tell the waters pretty shallow. It's a nice picture though.

i think it looks pretty cool!

Autogeek 04-22-2005 05:24 PM

Cool picture!

Its a low water bridge, right? Nice pictures.

Liisa 03-13-2006 06:04 PM

That bees some kewlness....

I tried that with my car once, except i drowned it in a lake....okay, that was a lie.

I don't do anything with my car, except put a lot of mileage on her...poor girl. Worked to the bone, just like her owner.

euroc 03-14-2006 12:58 AM

I've heard some stories about people losing their cars while driving over flood bridges... too much current and not enough weight. The 93 SL1 only weights about 850 pounds. I've had sleep patients that weighed nearly that (720 lbs)

What?

1993 sl1 weighs like 2300 and change LBS.

euroc 03-14-2006 01:04 PM

The owners manual said 850, but I could be reading it wrong. I'll check again.

Dont be too quick to run your mouth... the panels are packed with styrofoam, incase you havent noticed.

euroc 03-14-2006 07:44 PM

850 is the capacity weight of the SL1 and 2... the book doesnt have a curb weight.

Blackbirdracing 03-14-2006 07:46 PM

Alright I tried to be civilized...

Pull your head out of your a55!!

850# is a stupid light number.

The engine and trans has to weigh in at 400#s

That meansyour saturn (car itself) minus engine and trans weighs 450.

The wheels are about 20# with tires, maybe more I don't know the exact numbers.

There are four of those wheels on most saturns (your may be different that is another80#

Please dude your seriously wrong give it up.

civil? You came off as a prick and progressed from there. I told you I would check the book, and I did.

euroc 03-14-2006 10:27 PM

Either way BBR, I don't want to fight about it. I said I could have misread it, and that was the case. Sorry.

Oh I don't think he is trying tofoolanyone. The car is not on a lake. It's on a road. Where the water is running over the road. Just a photo-op, and a good one at that. Nice SC, and a good picture.

Low Saturn 04-11-2008 08:53 AM

Its pretty obvious that the car is parked in about an inch of water.
