Default 09 Aura front speaker problem

Hi I've got an 09 Aura with a strange problem that started about a month ago. I first noticed it using Bluetooth and what happens is the sound goes very thin and you can barely hear what anyone is saying and occasionally it pops back to full sound. I've determined that the front woofers are working intermittently and this seems to be the reason for the thinness. Has anyone had this problem and since my car is only under the power train warranty this would not be covered. My brother had this happen in a VW and it turned out to be the speakers. Thanks for any help.

My wife has an '09 Aura, and she uses her Bluetooth hookup quite a bit, but she has never complained of any problems ... good luck with yours

Check connections at speakers and radio. Unplug-plug back in a few times and see if that does it.

The problem with mine is it does this with stereo too. Music has only the front 2 tweeters and it is both front woofers every time, not just one. I was hoping that someone knows whether or not the crossover is in one of the two speakers or even in the radio itself. The latter is a possibility because this is an OEM unit and designed for one or two platforms. I've owned this vehicle since it was new and before about a month ago this never happened. I'll try turning the Bluetooth off again but if it is related to pairing with the phone I'm wondering why only now?

Brother I have no idea how the radio is set up in the Aura or my ION for that matter. Still I'd do as suggested ...... check and clean all connections first.

I replaced the front door speakers in my buddy's Aura. It was pretty simple once I removed the door panels. Made a huge difference!
