1999 SL1 door jamb switch for dome light?
Need a door jamb switch for driver's side door so dome light will come on when door opens.
Tried a junkyard one today - it was a dud, unless there's a wire problem? The passenger side works fine- open the door, light comes on. I took pass. side one from junkyard thinking it would be less beat, but no luck. It seemed to plug on the connector fine.
The orig. GM part # 21023335 is NLA and it seems like no generic/Chinese/knockoff version available on ebay, etc.
Any advice? Thanks.

Get an ohmmeter and check the switch. If you don't have an ohmmeter, see if any of your friends do. You can buy one at a Harbor Freight Tool store for a couple of bucks. You can get one from just about any autoparts store, hardware store or discount store (walmart) for less than $10.
These will actually be multimeters so you can check for the proper voltage on the pins of the connector that the switch plugs into.
