Default 1996 saturn sl sluggish starting out

I have a 1996 saturn sl have always had issues with this car leaking trannyfluid bad seals I suppose just yesterday when starting out from drive car is not responding very well sluggish then after car shifts itself seems to be fine it has always had a bump when palced into reverse looking for any suggestions on what this could be or what we should try?

I am guessing it is and automatic ? Is it to the full mark on the dipstick?
When was the fluid and filter last changed?

I wouldnt even guess to know we are constantly putting in tranmission fluid and have never changed the filter could that be a problem as far as it not acclerating? and yes the dipstick now reads full

Change the filter, even if that is not it, there is one less thing .

Yes - the filter should be changed every 30,000 miles

It solved my problem of "slamming"into reverse.

then get the oil leak "diagnoised" it might be a simple and inexpensive repair.
you really need to know what is leaking.

I know its the seals when it was inspected last month at my garage they told me I would have to get it done I was just realy concerned when i started in drive that it has about half the power it usually does will definatley make my hubby do that this evening looks like a pretty easy thing to do much easier then replacing that waterpump last month

I'm not sure what replacing tha water pump has to do with anything in this thread other than to bitch about how hard it is to change when you have no idea what your doing. The S-Car water pump is not a tough job and much much easier to replace then alot of cars on the road.

Is that a blue jet?
