Default My Door Chime Malfunction

Here's a crazy one. My door chime on my Saturn Vew "02 NEVER turns off! It's driving me crazy. I already had the ignition cylinder replaced (Dealership's first suggestion because the key pulled our while car was running) and that didn't stop it. Now they want to replace the Body Control Modual BCM for an additionl $450 after spending that on the ingnition! The car is only worth so much at this point and all I want is to turn off the chime! Does anyone have another suggestion?

I moved your post, no reason to add it to a four year old thread. As far as the chime goes, I have no idea where the chime module is located. I have no idea if it'll turn off other items by unplugging. You have the car, open the door and find where the noise is coming from, there is a good chance you'll find the module by listening.

I had that problem with the 95 SC1 I had and pulled fuses until I found the right fuse to kill the chime. Unfortunately, it also killed my radio. Mine didn't chime with the door closed, just with it open. I'd say if yours does it constantly, then losing the radio may not be a bad trade off. You could always bring a portable boom box into the vehicle.
