my saturn shut down on me now all it does is turn the belts i was told it was the timing chain and the engine was going to be toast because of the high miles 147000 any opinions?

did it stall and not start on you again? did you go out one morning and it wouldnt start? does it try to catch when you turn it over and then stall? do it just not do anything at all?

its a 92 i was driving and it just died this was dec25 and it hasnt started up yet it doesnt try too turn over just the electric sound of the belts turning

could be the timing chain then. you should call the parts department of a saturn dealership and ask them if the motor will bend the valves of not. some engines dont. but if there bent, the motor aint much good
