Default One of these...[lights]...is doing it's own thing,

I own a 2002 SL2. I recently noticed my reverse lights are not working. All my other lights are: parking=ok, brakelights=ok, tail lights=ok.

My bulbs are not burned out. The fuses are good. the wires coming out of the harness into the socket look good. The rest of the wires are so wrapped/taped up, I can't get in there to see if they're bad, but from an outside look, nothing appears to be cut or broken.

Any speculations, ideas etc on what might be wrong?

The reverse switch, probably located near the stick shift but could be on the transmission.

There is a sensor on the transmission that engages the lights. I had to replace mine on my SC a while back. Let me dredge up some info about it.

EDIT: YouTube is your friend. Richpin is a great source.
