Saturn Ion problem

I have a Saturn 2004 Ion that moves without stepping on the gas.
It idles at 700rpm in park but does not drop when shifted into any gear. It will even go uphill in gear without pressing the gas pedal. I took it to Saturn and they replaced the Idle Air Control Valve but it still has the problem. They also reprogramed the PCM per bulletin 04-06-04-029A....HELP:(

At what rpm would you like to see it idle at when in drive? 700 RPM in drive sounds a bit low to me.

700 RPM seems like a reasonable idle speed when in gear. If you have a problem with the car going without stepping on the gas - try stepping on the brake, it should work

The brake ........... he never thought of that.

lowsaturn lowsaturn whereforartthou lowsaturn?

Maybe its a turbonator issue....I thought the turbonators on the Ions were pretty solid but i guess anything's possible

I should delete this thread but everyone must see how some people are to stupid to drive etc.
