Default Gas Prices in Your Area

I was just wondering what's happening with gas prices in other areas. Since Saturday and yesterday, gas prices jumped 25 cents per gallon here. Anyone know what the hell is going on? I usually get my gas at the Murphy station by the local Walmart. Saturday it was $1.949 for regular unleaded. Yesterday it was $2.199. Really? Labor Day isn't here yet, or I would attribute it to the normal price gouging for a holiday. Any ideas or is it just here locally that people are getting screwed?

It has been holding steady at $2.31/9 for a couple months. Shell regular, premium is $.40 more.
