Mr. Ocean I have a problem I hope you can help me out with. I have a 97 Saturn SL2 and it's due for emissions. My problem is I took it to the local testing facility and they did there tests. My equipment passed but the OBD II would not register anything so they failed me. There are no engine lights on or anything it just won't connect. My battery was disconnected to replace radiator and fan but has been drivin hundreds of miles since but still nothing. Please help I'm going crazy trying to figure it out. Thanks

    Hey there, Dominique --

From what you explain, I too would be highly suspicious of the CPS (or it's associated wiring). Course, could have lost an IGN fuse (vibration fracture). Check all the IGN fuses both under the hood, and inside your car first .... Good luck

-New here, but you seem to be answering a lot of people's questions... I have a 2001 L200 that experienced "instantaneous death" about a week ago. The vehicle was running and in motion when all combustion stopped, no sputtering or poor running, just nothing. Engine had not even fully warmed up, as we made it 4 or 5 blocks.
Have fuel in tank and pressure at relief valve, fuel pump audible on key-up. Replaced ignition ctrl module on a hunch but did not solve the problem. Did not check for spark prior to this due to the coil over plug assembly but that is my next step along with measuring the actual fuel pressure.
I have thoughts now that the crankshaft pos sensor is to blame, but would appreciate any good input. Unfortunately disconnected battery on the advice of a friend who thought it might reset things. It did, so all DTcodes erased.

If you have thoughts or experience on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
    -Thanks, Dominique

I'm sorry I meant "will not deliver heat or cold." I have a 2001 Saturn L300 6 cyl. The blower fan works fine.

Good afternoon, have you ever heard of an A/C unit that will now deliver heat or cold? The fan/blower works fine but I get neither heat nor cold.

My over-heating problem returned after I installed a new thermostat. What do you think?

Where do I find the drain tube for the sunroof on my 2001 L300 Saturn. Water on the floor, bothsides in front. Thanks for any help you can give me. Thanks again.

Well, I'd try to blow through the filter first, since you recently changed it. Could be either the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself. Might end up changing both just to be sure, but I'd opt for the regulator first

What do you think? Bad pump or bad filter?
