I have a 2003 Saturn Level 2 Quad Coupe with the VTi transmission.

Last night, while driving home in the rain, the VTi just "disengaged" from the drive line.. just as if I had moved the tranny lever from Drive to Nuetral. The engine RPMs rose as the car slowed down.

After letting the car's rpms lower, the VTi did engage very slightly, but finally got home.

Any one have an opinion as to what happened/happening? Saturn 800 number in the Ownwer's Manual says not to drive it, but get it to a Saturn Dealer Monday. (70 miles away.)
